We recently posted that we had successfully been re-accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) Practice Standards Scheme (PSS) and have gained Small Animal General Practice accreditation for another 4 years. Over the coming weeks, we will be sharing with you some of the comments that our assessor fed back to us about the clinic and the team and show you some of the areas that they highlighted to us that they were impressed with. These comments mean a lot to us because the assessor is an independent person who assesses many veterinary clinics throughout the country (in the same way that Ofsted are independent inspectors of schools).

The Team

“the team appear incredibly passionate in providing not only the best service to clients and patients, but also to take care of their team and ensure the working environment is as supportive as possible”

“Communication is great with twice daily rounds and regular, minuted meetings plus routine opportunities for all team members to play a part in the development of the practice”

“a super welcoming team and friendly atmosphere”

The team are what make Cat’s Whiskers so special and we could not function without them, they are our most valuable asset. We therefore firmly believe in investing in the development in each and every one of them. We encourage participation in how the clinic is run and hold regular team meetings where every member of the team can have their say and actively brainstorm continuous improvement ideas and create new ways of working.

Daily briefings are held twice a day to run through the plan for the day, ensure that we are ready to accommodate any emergencies that might come in and to de-brief from the previous days operations and consultations. Pictured here are the team having today’s afternoon briefing.
