In Memorium 21st June 2008 – 17th December 2024
I just want to say Thank You to Amanda and the wonderful team for looking after Tiger for all the years. It was with great sadness that we said goodbye to our dearest sweet boy on17th December, 2024, our most loving and loyal, characterful companion of 13 years. Tiger was so affectionate, talkative and intelligent. We adopted our sweetest tabby from Paws Animal Sanctuary on 18th December, 2011, and he lived with us for 13 years. We think he was about 3 when we adopted him which would have made him about 16. The years have passed by so soon and it is never enough time. But we are are grateful to have been able to share our lives with such an amazing animal for those years and to have so many treasured memories of him. Tiger was the cuddliest with the softest fur and when he was standing up, his tabby stripes lined up perfectly on his front paws. Initially Tiger was very shy but gradually, he became more confident, venturing out into the garden and exploring the neighbourhood. As far as we were aware, his territory extended to a couple of houses each side and he made it abundantly clear to any kitty neighbours that he owned those gardens too. His Summers were spent in the garden, and after the children moved away he followed me everywhere and was constantly by my side. In the winter months he spent many hours snuggled up in his radiator bed and listening to the piano music. He greeted visitors at the door and engaged in so many meow conversations and sat on many laps. Everyone loved him ,cuddled him, talked to him. Tiger was our greatest friend and comforter over the years. He brought us so much joy and made everyone smile. We kissed and cuddled and spoke to each other all the time, ( his purring was just the best) and he returned our love a million times over . He could look deep into our eyes and we felt that he understood us and our feelings. During the last couple of years of his life he would happily fall asleep on his cushion, catching the rays of sunshine on the window sill. Inevitably and sadly over time Tiger became increasingly frail, suffering from acute arthritis, some kidney issues and more recently, there were changes in his tummy which may have caused him to become very unwell towards the end. When he slowly ran out of purrs the heartbreaking moment came to say goodbye. Tiger is buried in his favourite sunny spot in his garden and I lay flowers on his grave and speak to him every day. Dearest Tiger, every moment we miss you so much. Thank you for all your love. Sleep well with the Angels, beautiful boy. Until we meet again. 🌹💙🐾🐾💙🌹 Tiger is dearly missed by Olivia, Tristan, Alexander Natalia and Anne.
