"I registered my cats Bill and Bella at Cat's Whiskers Veterinary Clinic when they first opened and have never looked back. They offer a fantastic service with a caring and compassionate attitude with honest advice which we find very reassuring. Both Bill and Bella have been treated, with Bella needing surgery. They are so thoughtful and thorough that Amanda even thought to send me a picture of Bella once she had had the operation as she knew how worried I was. I don’t think you could ask for better people to treat your cats.
They offer Pet Health Plans which I have found very useful, especially having 2 cats which makes it easily affordable when checkups, boosters and flea and worming treatments are due.

We believe in a proactive, preventative approach to your cat’s healthcare and are pleased to be able to offer a simple and affordable Pet Health Plan to cover the cost of your cat’s essential health care. Our Pet Health Plans give you the reassurance that you are providing the best care for you pet throughout his or her life. Cats are masters of hiding symptoms of illness and therefore we recommend regular health checks to ensure problems are diagnosed early.
Pet Health Plans are not pet insurance. They cover essential preventative healthcare that pet insurance generally does not, such as:
- Vaccinations (initial vaccines in the primary course or annual boosters)
- Parasite treatments such as for fleas and worms
- Health and wellness checks (every 3 to 6 months)
Pet Health Plans work well alongside pet insurance or own their own. Each plan is tailored to the individual depending on age and lifestyle (indoor or outdoor), and include lifestage related health screening. In addition to 6 monthly health checks, vaccinations and year round parasite treatments being included on each plan, the following services are included:
- The Kitten plan (any age for 12 months as it includes the initial vaccines in the primary course) includes 3 monthly weight and development checks and microchipping. We recommend microchipping your kitten at 4 months and older, ideally during the neutering procedure.
- Both Adult plans (cats up to the age of 8 years old) include an annual urine analysis which screens for diabetes mellitus, liver and kidney diseases. Early detection of these commonly diagnosed diseases results in improved quality and quantity of life in cats. We provide non-absorbant cat litter with a sample kit for ease of sample collecting.
- Both Senior plans (cats 8 years old and over), as well as including an annual urine analysis (as for Adult cats above) include an annual blood screen and blood pressure check. Blood screening is performed to screen for and diagnose liver and kidney diseases, diabetes mellitus and hyperthyroidism; and to assess red and white blood cells as well as other important blood components which may be an indication of disease. A blood pressure check is used to diagnose high blood pressure which is a common problem in older cats and does not display symptoms.
You pay for your Pet Health Plan monthly by direct debit, so you spread the cost of your regular veterinary needs and save money too. Clients whose cat is covered by our Pet Health Plan benefit from discounts on vaccinations and parasite treatments and receive complimentary services such as nail clips, weight checks and basic grooming. There are also additional discounts on the following services:
- Microchipping included on the Kitten plan and 10% off microchipping on all other plans
- 10% off neutering (on the Kitten and Adult plans)
- 10% off long term medication (on all plans)
- 10% off prescription diets (on all plans)
- 10% off dental products and services (on all plans)
- 5% off consultations with the vet (on all plans)
And, if you have more than one cat on a plan, you pay 5% less per month.
