About Cat's Whiskers Veterinary Clinic
Generally, visits to the vet can cause a large amount of stress and anxiety to a cat. Coupled with being constricted in a cat carrier and travelling to and from the vet, your cat may be exposed to a waiting room in which they are surrounded by other predators such dogs, different smells and sounds. This stress and anxiety caused by these experiences can make diagnosis and treatment more difficult.
We at Cat’s Whiskers Veterinary Clinic provide a service that focuses on maintaining a completely stress free environment for your cat. Our waiting room is designed to ensure that you and your cat(s) maintain your own space in fair distance from other clients and their cats, and we diffuse pheromone scents (Feliway ®) to enhance calming of your cat(s).
We provide 15 or 30 minute appointment times to allow your cat a chance to settle in and relax before being examined. This also provides time for you to discuss your cat’s health in detail with the Vet or Veterinary Nurse (and have a cup of coffee, if you wish!)
We will treat your cats with love, care and attention, as if they were our own. All our staff are trained to handle cats in order to minimise stress and frequently attend development courses to ensure we can provide the best service possible to you and your cat.
We can also give you tips on preparing for your visit to the vet to ensure your cat’s entire experience is as comfortable as possible. Click here to download our "Visiting the Vet" Information sheet

"Thank you so much for looking after my ‘babies’ - the experience at the vets was so different from anywhere before and the cats were much calmer. I learnt so much too - like about their diets and about covering them with a blanket in the car which has really helped. Foxy is miles better since eating less too." Claire Love and Tiggy & Foxy
